A: eh, go for it. as long as you don’t mind people thinking you’re christian if you aren’t. it’s pretty common.
if it makes you uncomfortable, wear things that look similar to crosses but have meanings that suit you better. i’m an agnostic, and i don’t really like the idea of wearing crosses, so i wear ankhs and the like instead. it makes more sense to me.

Q: I’m looking for a necklace pendant of one of those Birthstone kids?
I really want to get the one for my birthday so that my mom can finish the set of us kids. The ones that she has looks like it might be gold plated. The birthstone is the main body of the person. Ok so here’s the run down. On this website:

I’ve purchased a few things over the years and I’ve been satisfied and what not with what I bought. Now at one point they were advertising this triple cross hellsing necklace, all made of stainless steel, the crosses were open (like outlines of the shape) and they were all together attached to the same chain from their own chain and just it was very cool and I was drawn to it, instantly. However I didn’t have the money to buy it at the time. And then finally when I did they were out of stock. So I’ve been checking frequently for a long time to buy it and they never seem to get it in stock again. Now after visiting the website recently it’s seems they aren’t even selling it anymore!! So my question is, does anyone know what necklace I’m talking about, and can maybe point to a dependable site that sells it, or maybe someone has seen a necklace similar to what I described, maybe even a double cross pendant necklace that is similar, I would be interested in. If anyone can help I’d really appreciate it, I’ve searched long and hard and turned up nothing when it came to finding this thing.

A: Interesting… what kind of “sytle” is it that wants him to wear a cross, like freakazoid goth or something…

I’m prolly not the one to ask, since I dislike seeing it on ANYONE. It is a symbol of torture, not to mention a reminder of the slaughter of thousands of peaceful people, in the name of that symbol.

So, I equated this to the question, would I, as a pagan, consider it inappropriate for a non-pagan to wear a pentacle, just for show?

The answer is that it would bug me a little, since it is a special symbol for us, but it would make me hope that the wearer would be curious enough about paganism to find out more about it and possibly follow it as their spiritual path.

So, if THAT happened to a non-Christian, ie, the non-Christian cross wearer got curious about Christianity and decided to research it, and then decided to (perish the thought) convert…..

THEN I would find it objectionable. Wearing a symbol that ends up leading an innocent non-Christian into that religion would, to me, be horrible. Another mind wasted.

If the religion was Christianity.

Other than that, I would just think it would look silly for him to wear it. He is portraying himself as something he is not, and hopefully won’t become.

How old is your brother? Is he so young that style is more important than substance? With all due respect, it sort of sounds like it.
