A: I would go to Sears, Penneys or Zales for reasonable prices and good selection. However, 24″ is very long even for a man. Try to measure what he currently wears since gold is very expensive in a rope style.

A: I don’t know how things are in the Philipines, but usually, you can find out the scrap gold price of your necklace by checking the official gold price on the internet. Your necklace being 10K gold has about 42% pure gold in it. So that makes it 4.8 grams of pure gold (if my calculation is right). If you want to find out what your necklace could be expected to fetch on the second hand market, you could look on ebay and other second hand venues to see what similar necklaces are being sold for. I would guess around $ 200 to 250, depending on the design, quality, condition and age.

A: it may but it wont last more than a year and then you have to do it again

A: You can’t turn it into white gold but you can take it to your local jeweler and they can dip it in white gold for you – it will overlay the white gold over the yellow. Its fairly inexpensive too.

A: It would be better if you do not mix yellow gold and platinum. The clasp will stand out and ruin the look of the platinum chain.

I myself like white gold better, but my mom likes yellow… do you think that maybe if I get this, we can maybe exchange it at the Helzberg diamonds store near our house for a yellow gold if I print out the receipt? (the closest one is about 20-25 min away.)

A: try looking in a different store for the same necklace like kay.com or zales.com or even something like walmart.com they have some nice things just look in different stores you might be able to find the same thing but what you want

i just put my frequently-worn and favorite bracelet and necklace in the dresser drawer. Before going on a week-long beach vacation, my son broke the thermometer and said that he had already cleaned it up. A: The Mercury from the thermometer had formed and alloy with GOLD turning it into gray; which is the color of mercury.

To remove Mercury from GOLD you would need to heat it up, but you need very high heat.

Gold is still there, inside the gray cover or mixed with the gray cover (Mercury).

It will never be the same again since it is hard to remove gold from mercury.

Just keep it as is and have it as a reminder of your past life and how mixing stuff can cause gold to lose it’s golden shine.

Buy a new one instead since the jeweller can charge a good amount to cure your bracelet and necklace.
