Q: What does this number mean on a italy 14k gold necklace?
I recently bought a 14k gold necklace for 279 dollars after looking at it for a while i found this number under the karret value it says 587 what does it mean…

A: 14k gold contains approximately 58.3% pure gold so I would assume it is the gold content since it is so close 587 / 583

FYI
18K gold is 75% – 750
9K gold is 37.5% – 375

Q: about how much does it cost to fix a broken 14k gold necklace?
My dad bought me a necklace (14k) for my 16th birthday and by accident ii yanked it really hard and it brokee. How much would it cost about to get it fixed in the jewlery store ?

A: depends the damage , it doesnt matter if the necklace cost 400$ or 50$ it all depends on the damage.

Q: How much should a 14k gold necklace cost?
I bought my boyfriend a gold chain with a money sign on it today at the flee market, and it cost 40 $. Carved into the chain it says 14k. That means its gold, right? Did i pay a reasonable amount?
More specifically, how much should i have payed? Was 40 a rip off?

A: The chain may be gold, but the dollar symbol is not, I’ll bet. Tell us when it turns green.

Q: Is 150 dollars for a 14k gold necklace worth it?
I want to sell my gold necklace so I asked a buyer what he would give me and he he said 150, is this a good enough amount?

A: In essence your necklace is worth whatever someone will pay you for it. It does not matter if I tell you the gold in your necklace is worth $20 or $200, unless someone will offer you those amounts for it.

24K gold is going for $39.10/gram this morning. $39.10 * 14/24 = $22.80/gram

So the question is, how much does your necklace weigh? The gold in it is worth roughly $22.80/gram, based on this morning’s spot price. If your necklace is extermely heavy, ask for more.

i really want to sell the 14k gold chain. i got it from my ex boyfriend, i didnt like it and i never wore it.
he bought it for 300 bucks, im trying to sell it for 250. is it good?

Q: What does dipped in gold and 24k gold plated mean? Will it look alright with a 14k gold necklace?
Im talking about those gold dipped leaf pendants. They look nice on the internet, but how do they look in person?

A: I haven’t seen those pendants. They obviously don’t dip anything in molten gold, it’s painted on somehow. I do understand plating, however. Although gold is yellow, almost all jewelry is made of gold alloys, because pure gold is very soft. Depending on what you mix it with, gold alloys can appear silvery, pink, green, blue, purple, and I have heard, but not yet seen, black. Your 14K necklace is made of 14/24 gold, and 10/24 other things. So the color may be slightly different that something made of 24K gold.

Q: How can I remove stain from 14k white gold necklace?
My 14k white gold silver necklace got a small yellow stain spot.
Anyone knows how I can remove it?

Thanks for lookin.

A: Honestly, I know it sounds crazy, but get an old tooth brush or a new one that you won’t use for your teeth, and clean the gold with a baking soda toothpaste. It works for me always. I usually find that when my white gold gets yellow on it, its just because i haven’t worn it in a while and dust has collected on it.

I do massage therapy and I’m a bartender, so I’m constantly washing my hands and jewelry, but I still manage to get lotion and sticky alcohol on it so I always brush it with baking soda toothpaste and warm water and it always comes out shiny and clean and new. Good luck, hope it works for you like it does for me.

A: get a pendent that you really like because you express yourself more when showing the things that you enjoy.

Q: Is it okay to put a 10K gold charm on a 14K gold necklace?

A: sure…

how much should a 24″ 14k gold necklace weigh diamond cut mens anchor chain? and how are the best easy at home ways to tell if its fake it says 14k italy on it

A: Get another similar chain and compare the two, gold ones should weigh more, but since it’s only 14K, it’s not that heavy.

Law requires stamping on all precious metal jewelries, so if you bought it in the US, it should be real.

Q: why do 14k gold necklace turn me green?
i always wear a 14k gold chain with some sort of pendent for the last 8 months or so i have been turning very green around my neck and where the pendents fall. i clean my chain every other day and i know that they are not fake. its two diffrent chains and they are both real. i dont know whats wrong.
thank you to everyone but i know it is not fake. if it was i would not be asking i get my jewlery from a well known place and i have it all appraised. it is real.

A: It’s not fake and you’re not allergic to it. If your iron is low, gold will leave green/black marks on your skin. Try taking a multivitamin.
