 The Atlanta Renewal Community’s investment in people is effected through its active work with dozens of community-based organizations.
ACoRA manages the expenditure of Title XX funds administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. ACoRA awards funds to organizations whose services directly respond to the identified needs of the residents in the target communities.
The areas of need include:
Health and Human Services – ACoRA invests in established organizations that address obesity, hypertension, diabetes, asthma, HIV/AIDS and other health issues affecting residents in the targeted communities.
 Human Capacity Development – ACoRA invests in organizations and projects that foster the self-sufficiency of residents. These projects include financial literacy, including budgeting, household management; homeownership; job readiness, including goal setting, job search, job preparation skills, training; assistance with transportation, childcare, and educational opportunities; and job-specific skills such as training to prepare residents for employment with companies operating in and/or serving the Renewal Community.
Commercial and Business Investment – ACoRA will provide financial support to small business owners and entrepreneurs. Possible assistance includes loans for promising start-up businesses, small business expansion, improvements, and technical support and training.
Applying for Funds
Your organization may apply to the Atlanta Renewal Community for funds to support these various business initiatives. Requests are primarily accepted through formal Request for Proposals and Request for Qualifications.
You also may review the list of priorities identified in the Atlanta Renewal Community Integrated Strategic Plan (ISP).
